House Rules

Please review and follow these important rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for everyone. These rules help maintain the community standards and protect our guests and property.

Important Notice

Guests are expected to comply with the TTCA Code of Conduct. Violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of privileges.

🏥 Health & Safety

Health Requirements

To protect immunocompromised members of the household, guests who have experienced any symptoms of an infectious illness within the past 7 days must reschedule their visit—anyone arriving with symptoms will be asked to leave (e.g. coughing, sneezing, nausea, vomiting).

Life Jacket Requirement

All children under 5 years old must wear a lifejacket when outside the house at all times.

🏘️ Community Rules

Quiet Hours

Guests shall not cause or permit any noise that intrudes on the neighbors after 10:00PM on weekdays or 11:00PM on weekends and holidays.

No Dumping/Littering

Dumping of garbage or debris, or littering in the Communities is not permitted. Littering is also against Pennsylvania State Law and additional fines may be assessed by State/Municipal/and County Laws.

No Fireworks

Fireworks of any type are PROHIBITED in the Communities.

No Hunting

Hunting and discharging any weapon is prohibited in the Communities. Carrying a firearm is prohibited in the common areas of the Communities.

No Drones

Remote control aerial device (drone) cannot be operated from Lake Naomi Club property, Pocono Pines Community Association property or Timber Trails Community Association property without written approval from the Club's management.

Walking

Pedestrians must walk on the left side of the streets, facing oncoming traffic.

Biking

Use of a helmet is required by Pennsylvania law.

Speed Limit

Guests must adhere to a 25 mph speed limit and avoid reckless driving. Fines escalate for repeated offenses.

Parking

Must park in the driveway (not the street).

Registration

Our home is located in a gated community. Guests cannot drive in and out unannounced - they need to be registered at the gate in advance by the homeowners.

🔥 Fire Safety

Open fires for recreational purposes must be properly contained within a rock pit or in a proper fire pit container. Fires must be attended to at all times by an adult with a working water hose or fire extinguisher. Members must comply with all burn bans by the State, County, Township, Club and/or the Association.

🐻 Wildlife & Trash Management

Wildlife Feeding

Guests may not feed deer or other wildlife in volumes that could encourage repeated visitation.

Trash Disposal

All trash must be disposed of inside the house or in the bear resistant garbage cans. If the bear resistant garbage cans are used, you must close and latch the lid and return the can to inside of the wooden storage structure.

Vehicle Food Storage

You may not leave food unattended within your car for any length of time - this will attract bears that may attempt to enter your car.

Fire Pit & Grill

Fire pit and grill must be cleaned after each use to prevent visits by bears.

Water Equipment

All water equipment must be returned to where it was found.

Recreational Equipment Storage

All outdoor recreation equipment is to be stored outside, in an outdoor closet, or in the crawlspace (e.g. skis, bikes).

🎣 Fishing Rules

Fishing on Tall Timber Lake and Lake Naomi is considered community amenity usage and requires either accompaniment by a member (homeowner) or a Lake Naomi Club Temporary membership:

Fishing License

All anglers 16 years or older must carry a valid Pennsylvania fishing license while fishing. Show your license to Lake Naomi Club staff, TTCA security, or state officers on request; violations can result in state fines and loss of Club privileges.

License Purchase

Licenses are available instantly from the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission's online system or at any authorized sporting-goods retailer. Keep a digital or paper copy with you at the water.

Catch-and-Release

Catch-and-release is strongly encouraged for every species. Handle fish gently and release them quickly whenever possible.

Fish Keeping

If you do choose to keep a fish, you are responsible for following all Pennsylvania creel and size regulations and any additional limits the Lake Naomi Club may post during the season.

Clean Up

Pack out all line, hooks, and bait containers. No fish cleaning scraps in the trash or lakes.

Water Safety

No swimming or boating after dusk. No glass containers within 50 ft of the shoreline. Children under 12 must wear a Coast-Guard-approved life jacket on any dock or boat; adults must keep a personal flotation device on board per PA Fish & Boat Commission. (PA Law).

🏠 House-Specific Rules

Smoking Policy

Smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes are prohibited inside the house and on decks. Vaping is permitted outside on the property at a distance of 25 ft from any dwellings.

Footwear

No microspikes/yaktrax/crampons are to be worn on flagstone paths, wooden decks, or inside the house. No shoes are to be worn in the house; areas near the door will be designated.

Septic System

The house is on a septic system and anything flushed down the toilet must be septic safe and will be provided by the homeowners, including toilet paper. No feminine hygiene products may go down the toilet.

Electric Baseboards

Electric baseboards get hot - do not touch them when in operation.

Exterior Doors

All exterior doors should remain closed and latched if a child under 5 years old is in the house.

Alarm Systems

No alarms may be disabled.

Aerosol Products

Aerosol products including bug spray and sunscreen must be applied outside the house. The use of chemical pesticides like RAID is not permitted inside the house due to health, safety, and environmental concerns—please notify us if pest control is needed.

No Pets

No pets of any kind are permitted.

👶 Child Safety

Child-Proofing Restrictions

Guests may not attach or install any child-proofing devices or hardware to the home (no cabinet locks, outlet covers, adhesive latches, drilled baby gates, etc.). If you need specific child-safety measures, please request them from the homeowners at least 7 days before arrival so we can discuss approved options.

You are welcome to bring: free-standing baby gates, portable playpens, or collapsible fencing that require no screws, nails, adhesives, or marks on walls, floors, or furniture.

🏊 Community Amenities

Visitors may use common areas of Timber Trails and the Lake Naomi Club if accompanied by a member (e.g., homeowner) and in compliance with TTCA rules. Subject to Lake Naomi Club access policies if applicable.
